Once sent, you can no longer edit the invoice directly, and a credit note must be issued instead.
Go into your original invoice and set it to edit. You will want to immediately adjust the invoice number and save the file as the revised so you have a copy of both. Adjust the date of the revised invoice. Format any changes to the original invoice as needed based on unit cost and tax pricing.
Businesses that arent GST registered dont need to worry about submitting tax invoices. In these cases, amending the invoice simply involves replacing the incorrect invoice with a fresh, corrected document as quickly as possible.
So how do we get there? Start off by going to the Gear Icon in the upper right-hand corner and click on Custom Form Styles under Your Company. Then, click on New Style and choose Invoice. Our layout screen is user-friendly and gives you all your options in three tabs: Design, Content, and Emails.
