Click on the Alignment tab. In the Text Orientation section (OpenOffice.org 1.1. x: Text Direction) drag the dot on the circle to the bottom of the circle (or enter 270 in the Degrees box). This will rotate the text in the selected cell by 270 degrees.
The text-direction buttons belong to the property of a graphic object. You can use it in Writer, when you insert the T object. So one solution is to not write directly into the label, but use a T object. The other property to turn a character is in menu Format Character Position Rotation/Scaling.
The Menu bar is located across the top of the Writer window, just below the Title bar. When you choose one of the menus, a submenu drops down to show commands. File contains commands that apply to the entire document such as Open, Save, and Export as PDF.
Inside Writer click on your image for the image toolbar to appear (View ▸ Toolbars ▸ Image); click the Rotate icon on the toolbar (a semi-circle arrow). Note that the green handles around the image turn red; move your mouse over one of the red handels around the image (at one of the corners of the image).
Use the red handles at the corners of the picture and move the mouse in the direction you wish to rotate. By default the picture rotates around its center (indicated by a black crosshair), but you can change the pivot point by moving the black crosshair to the desired rotation center.
Re: Open on one page view Check the page view icons near the zoom slider at the right-bottom corner of the application window. Click on the single page view icon.
From the main menu, choose File Templates Organize. The Template Management window opens. In the box on the left, double-click the folder containing the template that you want to set as the default. Click the template that you want to set as the default.
Rotating a picture Open a new Draw or Impress document (File New Drawing or File New Presentation). Insert the image you want to rotate. Select the image, then in the drawing toolbar (shown by default at the bottom of the window in Impress and Draw), select the Rotate icon from the Effects tear-off toolbar .
The sidebar window is located on the right side of the edit views of Writer, Calc, Impress, Draw, Base. It contains one or more panels, based on the current document context. Panels are organized into decks. A tab bar on the right side of the sidebar allows to switch between different decks.
Click on the Page tab and change the page orientation to Landscape by clicking on the corresponding radio button. You may also make other changes to the page style, if needed (such as adjusting the margin sizes). Click OK.
