so cool trick here thanks to natasha berta for discovering this so if youre in a google doc or google sheet and you want to have it be made as a template for others to copy it you have clients students that you want to share a template with then you simply take the url of the google sheet and notice that the url has a slash edit at the end it might have other things after edit but it always has a slash edit at the end for a google doc if you take the edit out right you can either put the word copy instead of edit okay if you do copy itll turn out like this and and if you give them a link itll just say hey you want to copy this document they can click make a copy a new thing thanks to natasha for showing this to us is instead of copy or edit you put template slash preview press enter and that way it brings it up as a template um that they can click through to the various tabs of the spreadsheet or whatever document youre sharing with them and then they could click on the blue use te

How to change the page orientation in Excel Select the page or pages with the orientation you want to change. Navigate to the Page Layout tab in the top banner. Click Orientation. Choose Portrait or Landscape from the drop-down menu. Make any other desired customizations, such as the print area and page size.
Click File New. Click Personal. Double-click the template you just created. Excel creates a new workbook that is based on your template.
Edit/Change a Personal Template Consider any Excel workbook. First, click on File, then Open, and select Browse. Then click on the file path and enter the location as. C:\Users. Then open the sheet that you want to edit, make the changes to the chart, and then click save to complete the task. Open Changes Save.
To modify a template, update the source sheet and save it as a new template. Sharing is possible via the template sharing selection, see the share a template section in this article. In templates, automated workflows exclude specific email addresses; re-enter them in new sheets derived from the template.
Click File Save As. In the Save as type box, click Template. In the Save in box, select the folder where you want to store the template. To create the default workbook template or default worksheet template, select either the XLStart folder or the alternate startup folder.
Right-click on the sheet tab and choose Insert Note: Your template file can have one or more sheets, doesnt matter. If your file already contains a sheet with the same name as in the template, the new sheet will be renamed automatically.
If a worksheet or presentation is locked for editing and cant be edited in the Windows desktop application, it may be that the file is already being edited by someone else, or they have the file checked out.
