[Music] so in this lesson were going to show you how to do a linen change so this might be after a bed bath or during incontinence care so check out the bed bath video to see what kind of got us to this point before you start make sure you have all the linens that you need a fitted sheet a draw sheet an incontinence pad which is optional a top sheet a blanket replacement pillow cases and a new gown if you still need it you also want to make sure you have a linen cart nearby because we never throw linens on the floor so if you havent already remove the top sheet and blanket then turn your patient to one side remember if the patient cant turn themselves youre going to need a helper for this part then youre going to remove the fitted sheet from your side of the bed one corner at a time and roll the linens inward towards your patient you want to kind of tuck them up under the patients back or hips then youre going to get your new fitted sheet and secure it to the corners of the bed
