Yes, you can! Keeping your number when you move from one phone service provider to another is called porting and its an easy process. Both mobile numbers and landlines can be ported.
T-Mobile Carrier Freedom. Bring your eligible phone with you and well reimburse your remaining phone payment balance when you switch from select carriers (including Verizon and ATT) to T-Mobile up to $800/line (up to 5 lines) via virtual prepaid card.
If the company youre switching to doesnt offer service in your area, your number wont be able to be ported. The number youre trying to port is no longer in service. Only numbers that are currently active are eligible to be ported. Your new provider does not have an interconnection agreement with your old provider.
Are there fees for porting? Companies may charge you to port your number, but you can ask whether any fees can be waived or negotiated. Once you request service from a new company, your old company cannot refuse to port your number, even if you owe money for an outstanding balance or termination fee.
Keeping your phone number when you change network is known as porting your number, and to do this you need a porting authorisation code - or PAC code. You give this code to your new provider and they handle the transfer of your number as well as the cancellation of the service from your current provider.
Yes you can, but your contract with your current network operator/service provider is not automatically cancelled. You can arrange with your network operator/service provider to settle any outstanding debt in terms of the contract.
There may be an upgrade fee depending on where you are in your contract. As long as your phone is in good working condition, you can swap your current phone and sign up to a new 24-month plan.
Alternatively, you could move over to another network, who might pay off your remaining contract balance and any early termination fees.
