Notice period in job is the time between the date of resignation and the last day of employment of an employee who resigns from a company. The employer must provide him/her with this time period before an employees employment ends.
Where changes are made to your contract, employers must give you written notification of the change within four weeks. An unauthorised, one-sided variation is likely to be a bdocHub of the contract of employment, and the fact that the employer has given you notice of the change will not make it lawful.

Varying a legally binding contract can only be done by agreement between the parties to the contract. It cant be done unilaterally unless the original contract says one party can make changes without first seeking the agreement of the other party.
There is no minimum time frame for individual consultation. If the employees agree to the proposed changes, the consultation period may be relatively short.
You can give more notice than your contract says, if you want - your employer cant make you leave earlier. If they do make you leave earlier, this counts as sacking you. You should check if you can claim unfair dismissal. Your notice period starts the day after you resign.
If an employer changes a fundamental aspect of the employees job without the consent of the employee, this can constitute a constructive dismissal. A constructive dismissal entitles an employee to their termination rights, including notice pay.
