This tutorial focuses on adding and editing metadata for documents. Metadata refers to information about the document and its creator. To access and edit metadata, users should click the File tab in the ribbon to open the backstage view and then select the Info button on the left side. On the right, under the Properties heading, users can scroll down and click the "Show All Properties" link to view the complete list of metadata. Editable fields can be modified by clicking next to a title, which opens a textbox. However, certain fields such as size, pages, words, total editing time, and template are not editable, as they describe the document's content.
