What If I Wish To Change My Rep Payee? To change your rep payee, you must fill out an application at your local SSA office. The person you select must submit a letter saying he or she is willing to serve as your rep payee. He or she must be able to prove who they are.
If you dont agree that you need a payee, or if you want a different payee, you have 60 days to appeal that decision by sending us a letter. If youre already receiving Social Security benefits and have a payee, you can ask someone else to be your payee.
To Remove a Payee in Online Banking: From the Accounts Summary page, click Pay Bills Transfer Funds in the Quick Payments Transfers box on the right side of the page. Click Manage Payees from the navigation menu on the left. Click Delete next to the bill payment company you want removed from your list.
Once youve sent the application form and the new payee has sent the letter to SSA, the change in payee should take effect in about a month. You and your new payee should each receive a written notice of this before any benefits are paid to the new payee.

Remove a payee in online banking Log into online banking and: select the account you wish to remove the recipient from by clicking View account underneath Account actions click Manage recipients select the recipient you wish to delete by ticking the box on the right hand side.
What youll need Log in to the mobile app. Click on the account the payee is linked to. Click on payments Click on manage payees Select the payee you would like to delete. Select delete payee. Confirm removal of payee by pressing delete again. Payee is now removed.

Click Confirm if the details shown are of the Payee you want to delete.
If, for some reason, you wish to remove a representative payee, you must prove that youre mentally and physically able to manage the payments received. This requires filling out the appropriate forms and submitting your application. In some cases, the Social Security Administration (SSA) may interview the beneficiary.
To add a payee, select the blue + button and select Add a Payee. To modify or delete an existing payee, swipe left across the payee in the list and pick the action you want to perform.
