so as you can see here i got a pretty simple uh sheet metal model its really of nothing i just added some flanges and some some hams and some features just so we could see whats going to happen here and what im going to do is im actually going to create a flat pattern and notice that i havent defined the a side because in my case this base feature here is actually going to work um as the direction if i wanted to create something else as my base feature i could use this a side and then pick the face to set as the the base face where everything should be folded from in this case im just going to click the create flat pattern and what were going to see is that it goes in there and creates that flat pattern and its associative with the folded model so you can see that theres the folded model the flat pattern so theres actually kind of two windows but theyre all within the same file so i havent created new files here theyre just within the same file so if i go back to lets sa
