Word allows you to adjust line and paragraph spacing in your documents. You can change the line spacing by selecting text, going to the Paragraph group, and clicking the Line and Paragraph Spacing command. The default is 1.08, but you can change it to 1.0 for closer lines or 2.0 for double-spaced. For more control, use Line Spacing Options to adjust the mode and amount. For precise spacing, choose Multiple and type in the number of lines, or select Exactly for specific points. Typically, spacing should be slightly larger than the font size, such as 1.25 for a 12-point font.
