In Word, you can adjust line and paragraph spacing to enhance document formatting. To change line spacing, select text and click on the Line and Paragraph Spacing command in the Paragraph group. The default spacing is 1.08; changing it to 1.0 brings lines closer, while 2.0 doubles the spacing. For precise adjustments, choose Line Spacing Options, allowing you to modify the spacing mode and amount. Setting the mode to Multiple lets you input specific line spacing, such as changing from the default 1.08 to 1.25 for more room between lines. Alternatively, selecting Exactly enables measurements in points, with spacing typically larger than the font size; for instance, if using a 12-point font.
