Word allows you to adjust line and paragraph spacing in documents. To change line spacing, select text and click the Line and Paragraph Spacing command in the Paragraph group. The default spacing is 1.08; setting it to 1.0 brings the lines closer, while 2.0 provides double spacing. For more precise control, select Line Spacing Options, where you can modify the line-spacing mode and amount. By choosing "Multiple," you can enter a specific spacing value, like 1.25. Alternatively, selecting "Exactly" allows measurement in points; for instance, a spacing slightly larger than a 12-point font is typically preferred.
