In Word, you can fine-tune line and paragraph spacing in your documents. To change line spacing, select some text, and then click the Line and Paragraph Spacing command in the Paragraph group. The default line spacing is 1.08; changing it to 1.0 will bring lines closer, while 2.0 will double-space them. For more precise control, click Line Spacing Options to adjust the line-spacing mode and amount. Setting the mode to Multiple allows you to specify the desired spacing, such as changing from 1.08 to 1.25. Alternatively, choose Exactly to measure in points, typically opting for spacing slightly larger than the font size, e.g., 12-point.
