How do you move paragraphs in Microsoft Word without copying them? You can select the paragraph [or any amount of text] then, with your mouse over the selected area click on it and drag the selection to where you want it - the selection/insertion cursor will follow you as you drag it to a new location.
If you are using styles in your documents, you can reset a paragraph to the default settings (ing to the assigned style) by positioning the insertion point anywhere within the paragraph and pressing Ctrl+Q. If you are creating macros you can achieve the same effect by using the Selection.
On the Home tab, select Line and Paragraph Spacing Line Spacing Options. The Paragraph dialog box opens. On the Indents and Spacing tab, select the options you want, and click OK. The Paragraph dialog box options are described in Adjust indents and spacing.
To begin, select the paragraphs you want to change and on the Home tab, select the option you want in the Paragraph group. By default, most text is aligned along the left margin, but you can center it, align it along the right margin, or justify it so its aligned along both margins.
Select the paragraphs you want to change. Select Home Line and Paragraph Spacing. Choose an option.
A paragraph in Word is any text that ends with a hard return. You insert a hard return anytime you press the Enter key. Paragraph formatting lets you control the appearance if individual paragraphs. For example, you can change the alignment of text from left to center or the spacing between lines form single to double.
Click Design, then Paragraph Spacing. Pick which spacing you want (the default is Open), and notice your whole document will preview as you mouse over the different settings. If you dont like those options, click Custom Paragraph Spacing and change the numbers under Paragraph Spacing.
Each paragraph in the body of the paper should include a topic sentence, supporting details to support the topic sentence, and a concluding sentence. The paragraphs purpose and scope will determine its length, but most paragraphs contain at least two complete sentences.
