A better option for using a scanner with multi-page documents is a scanner with an Automatic Document Feeder. Though ADF implementations vary, they have a paper tray from which individual sheets are pulled across a lamp. In this way, they can automatically pull a full stack of papers one-by-one.
Scanning text documents is a relatively smooth process that does not take a lot of time. The lowest DPI that is needed for the scanned text to display and print properly is 300 DPI. If the text is going to be reprinted, a DPI setting of 600 or better is ideal.
Is 300 DPI better than 600 DPI or does it work the other way? It depends, in fact, on what you are printing and what material is used. A higher resolution might be needed for glossy photos or images with lots of details that need to be crisp. Then 600 DPI could be a better option.
Follow these simple steps: Open Note and Create New Note at the bottom. Click Scan Documents Take a picture of the documents with your camera. Click on Retake. Scan all documents and save them. Select and then Share the scanned documents. Click Print. select Share and save it as PDF.
In HP Scan, select the Save as PDF or Document to File shortcut. If you scanned from the scanner glass, load the next page or photo on the glass. Click the plus button or in the HP Scan preview window to scan the next item. Repeat this step until all pages or photos are scanned, and then click Save.
Most businesses consider 600dpi and higher to be a high-resolution image or print. High-resolution images require more memory to store and can take longer to scan. Storing high-resolution images can quickly fill a hard drive or server.

Is 300 or 600 DPI better? Technically speaking, 600 DPI means more dots per inch hence, more details. However, the picture quality is not based just on the resolution. Also, depending on how far away youll see the picture, you might not even notice the difference.
Select the DPI (dots per inch) of the document in the DPI scroll box in the Scanner settings dialog. The DPI option sets the resolution in dots per inch. You can normally choose among values between 100 and 400 DPI.
600 DPI printing simply means that the printer compresses 600 dots horizontally as well as 600 dots vertically for every square inch of the card. This allows users to print ultra-high resolution pictures, micro-text, OCR codes, and 1D 2D barcodes.
