You must submit the resubmission application within 37 months of the new, renewal, or revision application it follows. Thereafter, the application must be submitted as a new application.
Presently, NIH only allows a single resubmission for K01 applications. This is the only time you will be assured of the same reviewers, so they will want to see you were responsive to their suggestions.
Resubmission versus Renewal versus Revision Applications A resubmission (formerly revision) is an amended or revised application that has been previously submitted, but was not funded, and is being resubmitted for new consideration.
It is sufficient to outline the changes made to the Resubmission application in the Introduction attachment. The Introduction must include a summary of substantial additions, deletions, and changes to the application. It must also include a response to weaknesses raised in the Summary Statement.

Award Number means the number of shares of Common Stock underlying all outstanding In-the-Money Options plus the number of shares of Common Stock underlying all outstanding Restricted Stock Units, in each case held as of the Reference Time (rounded down to the nearest whole share).
