To restart your numbering, click the Page Number command, then choose Format Page Numbers. From there, you'll be able to select Start at: 1. To reformat your numbering, select the page number, then go back to the Home tab. You can change the font, color, size, and more.

With the section break in place, you can enable page numbering as follows: Go to page 3 or 4. Double-click the header area to open it in edit mode. On the contextual Header & Footer tab, click Page Number in the Header & Footer group.
To choose a format or to control the starting number, go to Header & Footer > Page Number > Format Page Numbers. To change the numbering style, select a different style in Number format. To change the starting page number of the newly created section, select Start at, and then enter a number. Select OK.
Select the page number option that you want, i.e., page number to the right. Next place your cursor to the 'left' of the page number and start typing. The text should now appear and your page number should remain on the right. Once all your text is in place press the space bar to move the text to the required position.
With the number still highlighted, choose Page Number from the top menu, then select Format Page Numbers. Under Page Numbering, choose Start At and then select a starting number. The last step is to go to the top of the document and click on the first page number and then hit delete.
Open the "Format Page Numbers" window by going to the Header & Footer Tools – Design tab on the menu, and in the "Header & Footer" section, select Page Number > Format Page Numbers. Next to "Number format", select the "i, ii, iii, ..." option for lower-case Roman numerals, then click "OK".
