This is a 240 volt GU10 downlight, and Ill be showing you how to change the bulb. We will be changing the bulb from a halogen lamp to a more efficient LED bulb. The trim has 3 lugs which indicates a twist front trim. So simply push and twist, and the trim will come loose. The bulb comes loose from the socket by twisting anti clockwise as seen here. Now that the trim and the bulb are loose, replace the bulb by pinching the ends of the spring clip. The new bulb is then placed in the trim, and the spring clip is placed back over the bulb, with the notches fitting into place as seen here. In some models of this down light the bulb is held in by a different type of clip, like this one here. Instead of removing the clip, you slide the bulb out from around the clip, and swap it over, carefully sliding the bulb back in between the mouth of the clip.
