In this tutorial, we learn how to change the bulb in a 240 volt GU10 downlight from a halogen lamp to a more efficient LED bulb. The trim has 3 lugs for a twist front trim, so it can be pushed and twisted to come loose. The bulb is removed by twisting anti clockwise. To replace the bulb, pinch the ends of the spring clip, place the new bulb in the trim, and fit the spring clip back over the bulb. In some models, the bulb is held in by a different type of clip that must be slid out to swap the bulb. Once the bulb is replaced, reinstall the trim by putting the lamp holder onto the back of the lamp.
