hello everyone and welcome my name is bobby and youre watching mind on design today i want to show you how you can easily add a gradient and fade out an image in illustrator theres lots of videos online of people just simply adding a shape over their image and applying a gradient fill like so and if we make the black zero opacity and ill just drag this down to the bottom um if this is all you need for a social media post then basically the tutorial is done for you but if you want to print this on to a different color background um as you can see it is not fading into the background so a quick workaround for that is let me just um make the opacity back to 100 so you want to make sure that its fading from black to white um because that will be important later so im going to just copy that with command c and delete so now if we select our image and let me just open up this panel here and you want to find your transparency panel and if you dont see it here you can also just go to wi
