Thank you for joining this quick getting started video. In this video, were going to learn to edit an email in a running journey. Lets say that you have an email in a running journey and content has to be edited, but you do not need to replace the entire email. In this case, an edit can be completed within the email activity of the running journey without having to navigate away from Journey Builder. First, log into your Salesforce Marketing Cloud account. Once logged in, to edit a Marketing Cloud email used in a running journey, navigate to Journey Builder, and open the journey where the update is needed. In the running journey, hover over the email activity to edit, click on View or Update Activity, then click on View Email. To edit the email, click Edit Email in the Message Definition sections drop-down menu, or click Edit in any section. Update the content, as needed. A contact in Contact Builder is an individual added to any contact database in Marketing Cloud Engagement. A contact can be someone who received a message from any Engagement tool, such as GroupConnect, Journey Builder, MobileConnect, or MobilePush. You can add a contact to Engagement with these methods.

You can update an email address of a subscriber inside the journey. Just make sure your journey settings are set to your subscriber model instead of your dataextension. Than the journey will take the email address that is stored inside the subscriberlist/contact-model and not inside the dataextension. The Account ID is the ID number for the Account Object. The Account object is where Salesforce stores information about a business or organization that is part of the sales process. The Contact ID is the identification number for the Contact object.
The Contact ID has a one-to-one relationship with the Contact Key. The difference is that the Key is defined by you and the ID is automatically generated by Marketing Cloud.
