Generally speaking, the NIH allows you to make one resubmission after the original submission. You are typically allowed one additional page at the beginning of the resubmission (the Introduction to the Resubmission), in which you respond to the comments from the previous review.
The original institution must include an Official Statement Relinquishing Interests and Rights in a Public Health Service Research Grant (PHS 3734) (relinquishing statement). The relinquishing statement may be submitted in paper or electronically via the eRA Commons.
Withdraw Your Application Include in the letter: Name of the principal investigator or project director (use the contact PD/PI for a multi-PI application) Have it signed by an authorized organization representative. Email it to the Division of Receipt and Referral, Center for Scientific Review at csrdrr@mail.nih.gov.
Resubmission applications must be submitted through Grants.gov to NIH using ASSIST, Workspace, or an institutional system-to-system solution following the same process as your original application.
Open the Application Information page of the application you wish to delete. From the Actions panel, select the Delete Application button. A confirmation message displays as follows: You are about to delete this application. Once this application has been deleted you will no longer be able to re-instate or view it.
Prior to a specified submission deadline, applicants may make corrections and resubmit an application through Grants.Gov. After a specified submission deadline, if applicants make corrections and resubmit, the application will be considered late.
Only the signing official can initiate and submit the change of PD/PI request and it can only be made for an active award and within the budget period. The following information must be included in the request: Reason for the change. Updated Other Support.
PR/AWARD NUMBER - A unique, identifying number assigned by the Department to each application. On funded applications, this is commonly known as the grant number or document number. The PR/Award Number is also known as the Federal Award Identifying Number, or FAIN.
