today is about a great new addition to excel which is probably gonna help you sleep better now you see i dont really like to share my excel files with the team because im afraid theyre gonna mess things up so if youre like me and you love the idea of collaboration but youre free to share your files with your colleagues i have great news for you you can now show changes in excel now this is not just data changes but also formula changes lets take a closer look [Music] okay so i have this file open on excel for desktop and i just need to add some things to it so lets say for service line two i want to add consulting here im just going to put in april 2021 okay now i scroll over and i notice something strange someone has changed the email address here and im pretty sure it wasnt me but heres the thing this file is saved on sharepoint so other people have access to it as well so i cant really know for sure who it was i have a suspicion but im not 100 sure to find out who did

CTRL+[ (opening bracket) Select all cells directly referenced by formulas in the selection.
Select a cell with a formula and press Ctrl-[ (Ctrl-open-square-bracket).
When you have a cell selected, pressing the F2 key puts the cell in Edit mode. If the cell contains a formula, you will see the formula in the cell and be able to edit it. This is the same as double-clicking the cell with the mouse. Sometimes you might want to select a cell/range with arrow keys to change a reference.
Scroll to the cell with the formula you need to trace and select the cell. On the Excel tab, go to the Formulas tab and locate the Trace Precedents tool under the Formula Auditing section. Next, click the Trace Precedents button and wait for Excel to audit the cells.
AutoFill with a Custom List. You can use a custom list with the AutoFill feature. Excel has a few built-in customs lists, such as weekday names, and you can create your own custom lists.
On the Insert tab, select Hyperlink. You can also right-click the cell or graphic and then select Edit Hyperlink on the shortcut menu, or you can press Ctrl+K. In the Edit Hyperlink dialog box, make the changes that you want.
Click the cell that contains the data that you want to edit, and then click anywhere in the formula bar. This starts Edit mode and positions the cursor in the formula bar at the location that you clicked. Click the cell that contains the data that you want to edit, and then press F2.
If you are entering a predictable series (e.g. 1, 2, 3; days of the week; hours of the day) you can use the AutoFill command to automatically extend the sequence. You can also use this for formulas set up the formula once, then use the AutoFill to propagate it to the other cells.
In your Excel worksheet, go to the Formulas tab Formula Auditing group and click the Show Formulas button. Microsoft Excel displays formulas in cells instead of their results right away. To get the calculated values back, click the Show Formulas button again to toggle it off.
Create your own AutoFill Series Select the cells which contain the data you want to comprise your custom list. Click the File tab. Click the Excel Options button to open the Excel Options dialog box. Click the Advanced button [A] and scroll to the bottom of the Advanced Options window.
