Below are some common questions from our customers that may provide you with the answer you're looking for. If you can't find an answer to your question, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Option #1:Using an Excel spreadsheet template you can tweak Open Microsoft Excel. Click “File”. Click “New.” In the search bar, type, “schedule” and then “Enter”. Scroll through the templates to find one that will suit your needs. Double click, and then click, “Create”.
Press the Enter key and your active cell should move to the row below. Hold in Shift and then press the Enter key and it reverses direction moving your active cell to the row above. Using Shift and the arrow keys will select cells and using Shift when clicking on cells will select a contiguous cell range.
In general, clockwise shift rotations should be used (day–evening–night). Ideally, a rotational schedule should include no more than 3 night shifts in a block, with 3 days of recuperation after the night shift work. In general, 8-hour shifts are preferable to 12-hour shifts.
Turn Off Scroll Lock. You won't be able to use the arrow keys if you have a scroll lock enabled on your keyboard. So, the first fix for arrow keys not working in Excel is to turn off your scroll lock. Look out for a light on your keyboard's scroll lock button.
Creating a Work Schedule in Excel Open Excel and start a new blank spreadsheet. Select cells A1 to E2 and click “Merge and Center” Type “Weekly Schedule” or whatever you want to name your schedule in the A1:E2. Choose your font size and align center. Select cells F1 to H2 and from the “Borders” dropdown, choose all borders.
Turn off Scroll Lock If your keyboard does not have a Scroll Lock key, on your computer, click Start > Settings > Ease of Access > Keyboard. Click the On Screen Keyboard button to turn it on. When the on-screen keyboard appears on your screen, click the ScrLk button.
For example, if you wanted to shift the number 1234 five places to the left, you would use the function BITRSHIFT(1234,5). This would result in the number 0001234. If you wanted to shift the number 1234 five places to the right, you would use the function BITRSHIFT(1234,5). This would result in the number 1234000.
With a rotating schedule, a worker may work the first shift for 1 week, then switch to the second shift for 1 week, then switch to the third shift for 1 week. After completing the cycle, that staff will go back to working the first shift.
What to Know Easiest: Download a pre-made template from Microsoft Excel. Create template: Select A1:E2 > Merge & Center > type WEEKLY SCHEDULE > select Middle Align. Add borders and headings. In A3, type TIME. In A4 and A5, enter time > fill cells > add days > save template.
Each team works 4 consecutive night shifts, followed by 3 days off duty, then 3 consecutive day shifts, followed by 1 day off duty, then 3 consecutive night shifts, then 3 days off duty, then 4 consecutive day shifts, then finally 7 consecutive days off duty.
