Hello everyone! Today, Id like to talk to you about the Beckhart Harris equation for change. Its a simple equation, as you can see, that has been put together in the 1980s by Richard Beckhart and Reuben Harris. The cleverness of this equation is that it is very simple and it highlights the few elements that are paramount if you want change to happen in your team or in your organization after a crisis like the one that were living now. So, lets have a look at those. The equation says D x V x F needs to be greater than R for change to happen. Lets start with R. R is resistance to change it assumes that people do not like change and that if you dont have any of these three elements over here they will be very happy to stay the way that they are and not implement any of the change. Then the three elements are: Dissatisfaction with the current situation; Vision of the leader and First steps. Lets start with vision, and imagine that your team are rowers on a boat and that youre on

Finding the Increase and Decrease The steps to calculate percentage change are: Find the difference between the original and new values. Divide the difference by the original value. Multiply the resulting quotient by 100.
Switch between relative, absolute, and mixed references Select the cell that contains the formula. In the formula bar. , select the reference that you want to change. Press F4 to switch between the reference types.
Start typing a formula either in a destination cell or in the formula bar. When it comes to adding a reference to another worksheet, switch to that sheet and select a cell or a range of cells you want to refer to. Finish typing the formula and press the Enter key to complete it.
=REPLACE(old_text, start_num, num_chars, new_text) The REPLACE function uses the following arguments: Old_text (required argument) – This is the text we wish to replace some characters. Start_num (required argument) – The position, within old_text, of the first character that you want to replace.
On the Formulas tab, in the Defined Names group, click Define Name. In the New Name dialog box, in the Name box, type the name you want to use for your reference. Note: Names can be up to 255 characters in length.
How do you calculate percentage change? • ((after value – before value) / before value) * 100 = % change. Simply subtract the before value from the after value; then divide by the before value. Multiply the result by 100. Add a % sign and that is your percentage change.
To do this, you would simply enter the old value in the first column and the new value in the second column. Then, in the third column, you would enter the formula =(B2-A2)/A2 to calculate the percent change. You can also use this formula to calculate percent change for multiple values at once.
To edit the same cell in multiple sheets, simply hold down the Ctrl key while you click on the sheets you want to edit. Then, when you make your changes, they will be applied to all of the selected sheets.
The original formula, as created by Gleicher and published by Richard Beckhard (see § Attribution confusion below), is: C = A × B × D > X.
On the Formulas tab, in the Defined Names group, click the arrow next to Define Name, and then click Apply Names. In the Apply names box, click one or more names, and then click OK.
