Many Pages users wonder how to change the default font in a new document, but there is no setting for this in Pages preferences. This is because when creating a new document, users are actually choosing a template, such as "Blank," which comes with preset styles like font and size. To start with a different font in a new Pages document, create a new template with the desired font.
