This tutorial shows how to change the default font in Google Docs. You can customize the font style for normal text, titles, subtitles, and headings. To change the default font for normal text, type the text, highlight it, and select a new font from the "more fonts" option. In this example, the font is changed to Calibri and the font size is increased to 12. You can apply the same process to change the font for other text styles as well.

All fonts are stored in the C:\Windows\Fonts folder. You can also add fonts by simply dragging font files from the extracted files folder into this folder. Windows will automatically them. If you want to see what a font looks like, open the Fonts folder, right-click the font file, and then click Preview.
There are two different types of formatting that you can apply to the text content of your document: You can change character formatting such as font, color, or underlining. You can change paragraph formatting such as indention or line spacing.
With the text selected, use the Font options drop-down to select the font you want to use as your default font in Google Docs. Next, click the Styles drop-down menu and hover over Normal text. Select Update Normal text to match. This will apply your chosen font as your new default font when typing normal text.
Did you know you can change the default font in Docs? Yep! Every time you open a new Doc it will be set to your default!
Go to Format Font Font. + D to open the Font dialog box. Select the font and size you want to use. Select Default, and then select Yes.
Save time be consistent via default style preferences within Docs. Expand the styles drop-down menu. Click: Options. Select Save as my default styles.
On your Android phone or tablet, open a document in the Google Docs app. Tap Edit . Double-tap the place in your document you want to edit. Move the blue markers to select more text. Tap Format. tap Text. In the menu, tap Style, Font, Size, Text color, or Highlight color to format your font.
On the Home tab, right-click any style in the Styles gallery and click Modify. In the Formatting section, make any formatting changes you want, such as font style, size, or color, alignment, line spacing, or indentation. Choose whether the style change applies to the current document or to all future documents.
While theres no way to upload a font to Google Docs, you can access others by adding extensions to the application. There are a few options available, but one option is Extensis Fonts.
How to change your default settings in Google docs: Highlight your text. Select the font style drop down menu. Select your desired default font (Times New Roman or a font of your choice) Select the font size drop down menu. Select your desired default font size. Select the line spacing drop down menu.
