[Music] all right so heres our project today Ive got a customer who has brought me a little over 200 boxes that have the wrong engraving put on the wooden box these came from somewhere else where the boxes were no longer used and she wants to repurpose the boxes so the challenge for today is how do you remove an old and graving or previous engraving on wood and get it ready for laser engraving a new logo on the top Ive gone through some trial and error Ive tried different tools and Ive landed on a method that I think is fast which is important when youre laser engraving and doing production work gets the job done real nice so Im gonna show that to you today I believe this is some kind of alder wood its really nice box its actually usually these are made out of pine but this is actually a nice its kind of a softer wood and the engraving I dont know if you could see it its pretty its pretty deep in there so its a little bit of a challenge its not just a surface mark its
