welcome to woggle guides in this guide ill quickly explain how you can save a draft copy of any emails you write in gmail lets get straight into it im logged into google and im in my gmail inbox ill open a blank email and ill start to add the name of the person i want to send it to the email title and what i want to write when it comes to saving a draft email the bid were interested in is the top left of the email at the moment it shows the title of the email but youll see as we add words that message changes to say draft saved gmail automatically saves your email as you type and will always store the latest version of your email once i finish typing to close that email and save it as a draft all i need to do is move my mouse pointer to the x at the top right of the email if i hover over that youll see it says save and close this confirms that when i click the x icon to close the email it will automatically save as a draft email lets do that now draft emails are stored in yo

If you are composing an email and then accidentally deleted the entire email, you can just simply right click and then select Undo or press (Ctrl + z).
Gmail doesnt actually retract the sent email, but (if you have the feature turned on) will delay sending the email up to 30 seconds for you to hit the Undo button. What you can do is copy the already sent email.
The message contained within the draft cannot be edited once created, but it can be replaced. In this sense, the draft resource is simply a container that provides a stable ID because the underlying message IDs change every time the message is replaced.
Turn automatic saving of draft messages on or off or change how often drafts are saved Select File Options.. In the left pane, click Mail. Under Save messages, select or clear the Automatically save items that have not been sent after this many minutes check box.
If youd like to keep working on a message you started earlier, go to your Drafts folder and select that message. Click Edit and the compose window will open. You can edit your email now.
Locate Your Draft Select the Settings gear icon in the upper-right corner of the Gmail inbox. Choose See All Settings from the drop-down list. Select the Labels tab at the top of the Settings page. Scroll down to Drafts and make sure Show is selected. Return to the inbox.
Google Mail automatically saves while you are composing a message, and you can click the Save Now button to save in between auto saves. When a message is saved, it appears in the Drafts label in the left sidebar of the Google Mail window. To get back to any messages that have been saved but not sent, click on Drafts.
If the message does not open for editing automatically, select Continue editing (✏️) in the draft messages header area. Edit the message draft as needed and select Send.
