hi everyone Jim from javelin here with a SolidWorks tech tip so I have my drawing here and just a generic of a just a drawing of a generic block 100 by 200 by 50 and what Im gonna do is okay sometimes Im done with my drawing and lets open up the part so later on I go and I modify this part so instead of being 200 lets make it 150 and I rebuild it and it close it we save it and everythings good now actually lets say somebody else did that and they came into my system and did that and I go to open up the drawing and I dont know that theyve made that change so I go and open up the drawing now thankfully SolidWorks is telling me that that 150 has changed youll notice that the that that dimension is a different color if I hover my mouse over it it tells me what that dimension used to be so that used to be 200 now its 150 so without without knowing or without without being the person who made that change I know what that change is even though they havent they havent told me so I

It sounds like the problem is that the Picture Placeholders setting has been turned on. You can control this setting in this manner: Display the Word Options dialog box.
Adding the Draw tab to the Ribbon Right-click the Ribbon and select Customize the Ribbon. Check the box next to Draw, then click OK. The Draw tab will now be available in the Ribbon.
