in this video Im gonna show you how you can set your excels default theme color to be the theme color that you want by default every time you open Excel it always reverts to the office theme color in your company you might already have defined theme colors that you can browse for and bring in as your custom themes right so if you always want to use your own custom themes you will always have to come here and then click on this so that it switches the theme color but lets say you want to avoid this because 90% of the time you want to use your own theme color and not the office theme colors every time you create a new workbook you want it to take this now unfortunately Excel doesnt have any option here that says set as default theme color unlike for example words so if I switch to word you can see under design you can select the theme that you want and you have this tick mark set as default we dont get that in Excel to do that you need to save an empty Excel spreadsheet with this th

To check if the cells are locked, go to the Review tab and click on Protect Sheet. If there is a checkmark next to Locked, then the cells are locked and you will not be able to format them. To unlock the cells, simply uncheck the Locked option and then click OK. You should now be able to format the cells.
On the Home tab, in the Styles group, click the More dropdown arrow in the style gallery, and select the cell style that you want to apply.
To find the Cell Style option, Go to Home tab Styles group Select the More dropdown arrow in the style gallery at the bottom of the gallery Select New Cell Style. You can also select from the recommended styles as mentioned below. Right click any of the above options to Modify.
Excel also allows you to add a predetermined style to your chart or to create your own style. Once youve created a chart, click on it and look under Chart Tools Design Chart Layouts. This gives you different chart layouts.
On the Page Layout tab in Excel or the Design tab in Word, click Colors, and then click Customize Colors. Click the button next to the theme color you want to change (for example, Accent 1 or Hyperlink), and then pick a color under Theme Colors.
Create a New Style Select the cell that has the formatting you want to use for the new style. Click the Cell Styles button on the Home tab. Select New Cell Style. The Style dialog box opens and the formatting from the selected cell is captured. Enter a name in the Style name field. Click OK.
