hi my name is Bree Clark and Im a software expert today Im going to show you how to change the cursor in Microsoft Excel now changing the cursor in Excel is all about where you put it and what youre trying to do now right now as I move my cursor around its a large white plus sign this is the cursor that I use to select so if I click and hold and drag thats used for selection so I could click here in a two and hold and drag down to select all the way through f8 another cursor you can get is by positioning your pointer over the edge of a selected cell and notice how it turns to a four pointed arrow now thats used for moving cells so if I click on this quarterly sales by region cell and then move my point over the edge so I get the the four lines with the arrows I can click hold and drag to move that cell somewhere else on the page okay so Ill just move that back with the same pointer and the final one that youre going to see a lot of the time is this little one here this black p

If you want to remove the strikethrough formatting, simply press the Alt key and the letter U at the same time. This will remove the strikethrough from the selected cells.
Using your cursor, highlight the entire document, or the parts of the document you want to see without the line. Click on Format, and then on Font. In the Font tab, uncheck the box next to Strikethrough. This will remove the line covering the text.
To remove double-line strikethrough formatting, select the text, and then go to Home and select Strikethrough twice in the Font group.
Open Control Panel and click on Mouse icon. Click/tap on the Pointers tab and Under Customize, select a pointer you want to change. Click/tap on Use Default if you want to change the pointer to use the default pointer for it. Click/tap on Apply to make the change to see how you like it.
To remove double-line strikethrough formatting, select the text, and then go to Home and select Strikethrough twice in the Font group.
If you applied strikethrough via a shortcut or cell format, then press Ctrl + 5 again, and the formatting will be gone.
If your cursor shape has changed to a cross-hair symbol, it means that Precise Cursors have been enabled. Some users prefer this setting when theyre working in very fine detail.
In addition to the standard bold, italic and underline buttons that appear on the ribbon, Excel can add a strikethrough effect, which makes words appear crossed out. You can access the strikethrough effect and other font formatting options that dont appear on the ribbon from the Format Cell Font dialog box.
