Definition: An amendment letter is a legal document used to modify, add, or remove terms and conditions in an existing contract.
Also known as contract variations, contract amendments are documents used to make a mutually agreed-upon change to a preexisting contract. Depending on your needs, an amendment can change the following: The length or term of a contract. The fees or price for a service or product. Parties duties and liabilities.
An offer letter amendment is a legal document used to formally change the original terms and conditions of an existing offer letter. The document includes details regarding what terms and conditions are in effect per the original offer letter and what the proposed changes are.
A proper addendum should include: A clear identification of the original contract and parties. This includes the date of the agreement and names of the parties involved. An introduction stating that the purpose of the addendum is to amend or modify the original contract.
It means the new offer letter after all the changes made such as change in joining date, salary etc which was discussed with you after releasing old offer letter.
A contract amendment is a change, correction, clarification, or deletion to an agreement you have already signed. An amendment leaves your original agreement substantially intact.
An Offer Letter Is Not a Contract However, the professional can continue negotiating, even if theyve signed an offer letter. And even regarding the terms on which they have already agreed.
Offer letters arent the same thing as an employment contract, though, and offer letter amendment is possible, especially in an at-will position where employee or employer can terminate the agreement if it proves unsatisfactory.
