[Music] hey everybody rainy here today what Im gonna do is Im gonna show you how to share your document in Google Doc so that people can view it or they can edit it and view it or they can just add comments and view it I have my students do this when they sent me their files because its a great way to share a document with your professor so they can give you feedback on it without having to worry about them downloading it and stuff because that causes a lot of issues sometimes file size is too big and just other things like that so its very soon you know they forget to send the attachment so this is a very simple method around that and this is the same procedure whether using a Google presentation Google slides or documents so whatever youre using any of those Google you know that Google suite that Google package its all gonna be the same so in I have a created a blank document here I have the word sample here Ive called it my sample but whatever your document is you know youv

Setting Permissions for a Google Drive File Select the file you want to share. Click Share on the top right. Click the drop-down arrow. Choose to share the file with Anyone with the link. To decide what people can do with your file when you share it, select either, Viewer, Commenter, or Editor. Click Copy link.
When finished, you turn in your work. Before the due date, you can unsubmit work, make changes, and resubmit it. After you turn in a file from Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides, only the teacher can see and edit your work. For instructions, go to Turn in an assignment.
Editing mode: Lets you edit the document directly. This is the mode youre in by default. Suggesting mode: Lets you suggest edits to a document that other people can review. Suggestions that are accepted will be added to the document, while ones that are rejected are deleted.
If you need to edit work that you turned in, you can unsubmit the assignment before the due date, make your changes, and resubmit. However, any assignment turned in or marked done after the due date is recorded as late.
Edit with Suggesting Mode Editing mode: Lets you edit the document directly. Suggesting mode: Lets you suggest edits to a document that other people can review. Viewing mode: Lets you view the document read-only, which will prevent you from changing anything until you return to another mode.
Problem: Students can still edit a submitted Google doc assignment after its deadline has ended without being marked late. Also students can reply to instructors reviewing and commenting directly on the doc (before the doc and grade are released).
On your computer, open a document at docs.google.com. on the toolbar, choose an option: At the top right, click Editing.
To track changes in Google Docs, you have to switch from Editing mode to Suggestion mode. Click the pencil icon underneath the Share button, and choose Suggesting from the drop-down menu. While in Suggestion mode, any text that you add is highlighted and any text you delete is crossed out.
Select the file you want to share. Click Share or Share . Under General access click the Down arrow . Choose Anyone with the link. To decide what role people will have, select Viewer, Commenter, or Editor. Click Copy link. Click Done. Paste the link in an email or any place you want to share it.
Suggestion mode allows anyone who can edit the document to suggest edits to the document owner. The owner can accept or reject edits. When you make changes to the document in Suggesting mode, your typed text is surrounded on the top and bottom by a bracket, and deletions are shown with a strike-through.
