in this video I will show how you can position the chart in a document the document has a chart which is at top left corner you can move this chart to a different position in the document click on format tab under chart tools click on position word displays several positions where you can move this chart in document move the cursor over to the different positions and word moves the chart and you can select the best position for the chart in document click on the position you like and word moves the chart to that position in the document you can see the chart is moved to the position you selected

Updating links Click the File tab in the Ribbon and select Edit Links to Files or click Edit Links to Files in the Quick Access Toolbar. The Links dialog box appears. Click the link you want to update. Click Update Now.
Use Destination Theme Link Data Keeps the chart linked to the original workbook. To update the chart automatically, change the data in the original workbook. You also can select Chart Tools Design Refresh Data.
In the chart, select a data series. For example, in a column chart, click a column, and all the columns of that data series become selected. Select Chart Design Select Data. In the Select Data Source dialog box, next to Legend entries (Series), use the up and down arrows to move the series up or down in the list.
Right-click your chart, and then choose Select Data. In the Legend Entries (Series) box, click the series you want to change. Click Edit, make your changes, and click OK. Changes you make may break links to the source data on the worksheet.
In the worksheet, click the cell that contains the title or data label text that you want to change. Edit the existing contents, or type the new text or value, and then press ENTER. The changes you made automatically appear on the chart.
Select the chart. Select Chart Design Edit Data in Excel.
Right-click your chart, and then choose Select Data. In the Legend Entries (Series) box, click the series you want to change. Click Edit, make your changes, and click OK.
To change the text font for any chart element, such as a title or axis, rightclick the element, and then click Font. When the Font box appears make the changes you want.
Customize a pie chart On your computer, open a spreadsheet in Google Sheets. Double-click the chart you want to change. At the right, click Customize. Choose an option: Chart style: Change how the chart looks. Pie chart: Add a slice label, doughnut hole, or change border color.
To link to the original Excel chart so that updates to the original data are reflected in the destination file, select Home Paste Use Destination Theme Link Data. To embed the original chart so that you can edit it in place, select Home Paste Use Designation Theme Embed Workbook.
