Many response cards will include an M followed immediately by a line. In keeping with more formal wedding tradition, the line is here as a way to kickstart your reply. The M stands for the first letter of the title you prefer to go by, be it Mr., Mrs., Ms., or Miss.
To limit the number of guests and avoid any confusion, a line will typically be added with the number attending. Sometimes the couple will fill this out themselves or, if their guest list is a bit lenient, let the guest write in the number attending.
That M stands for the first letter of the guests title, like Mr., Mrs., Ms. or Miss. The guest writes their full name, along with the names of anyone else who has been invited, on the line. For example, Ms. Jane Smith is the correct response if someone is attending the wedding alone.
Heres how to fill out your RSVP card: Double-check the envelope. The envelope indicates the invitees. Add the name(s). Fill out only the names of those who are attending. Write the number of guests. Make your food selection. Finish with a personal note.
What Do You Write on a Wedding RSVP Card? RSVP by the Twentieth of June. The favor of a reply is requested by June 20th. Please respond by June 20th. Kindly reply by June 20th. Your reply is requested by June 20th.
The letter M is simply the beginning of the persons title Mr., Miss, Mrs. and Ms. which would then be followed by the persons name.
Caption Options. If you do need to switch your response, try to do it before the reply-by date. If you returned the card as soon as you received the wedding invitation, you might not miss that deadline, which is usually a few days before brides have to give final head counts to their wedding venue and caterer.
