Follow these steps if you want to assess the performance of your managers: Use a confidential process. To evaluate managers performances effectively, its important that employees can provide honest responses to the evaluation questions. Clarify all issues. Take immediate action. Request feedback.
I am writing this letter with regards to the recent performance evaluation held in the organization. While I respect your opinion, I believe it to be mistaken. I disagree with the negative evaluation of some of my successful projects.
Focus on the Work Address what is observable about outcomes, behaviors, and tasks. Describe how the performance has met or has not met expectations. Be direct and accountable by using I statements. Be specific, not global or broad, about the gaps (positive and negative) between performance and expectations.
Acknowledge any valid criticism and talk about your plan to improve, then bring up any issues that you feel are inaccurate. Use clear examples to back up your position. Provide proof that you have, indeed, met all your deadlines if your boss says you have poor time management skills.

If an employee doesnt want to sign their performance appraisal, one option is to allow them to write some sort of rebuttal. The logic behind that approach is that if the employee doesnt agree with the review, they can go on the record explaining why they dont agree.
These include: (1) central tendency error, (2) strictness or leniency error, (3) halo effect, (4) recency error, and (5) personal biases. Central Tendency Error. It has often been found that supervisors rate most of their employees within a narrow range.
Respectfully Disagree However, only openly disagree if you can provide clear examples that contrast with the feedback. That way, you are backing up your position and making the reason behind your perspective easier to see.
