Enabling the EvaluationKIT Course Navigation Menu Tool Click on Settings. Click the Navigation tab. Find the EvaluationKIT Course option in the bottom list of hidden navigation items. Drag EvaluationKIT Course from the bottom list to the top list of available items. Click the Save button.
Students can take evaluations in Blue or through a link in Canvas. Your identity remains completely anonymous to instructors and department staff.
Accustom students to feedback by seeking formative information early and often in the semester. Constructive feedback collected early in the course can positively increase the completion rate for the end-of-course ratings.
Explain how the evaluations would be used to improve the course design and instruction. If possible, share examples of how you acted upon student feedback from previous courses to make your current course(s) better. Students want to believe that their opinions matter. Encourage all students to participate.
Best practices in writing evaluations: Complete your written evaluations promptly, within a week of working with the student. Describe specific behaviors and concrete examples in your evaluation. Discuss midpoint feedback using competency-based language.
You can edit your evaluation even if you submitted it, but you must do so before the survey deadline. Click the Surveys tab and then click Completed Surveys. Find the course in the list and click Edit Survey Answers Make your edits and then click the Save And Continue button.
