image captioning given an image we want to summarize the image in a phrase or in a sentence what I usually do in my videos on such concepts is we would take some state of the art paper and try to dissect their approach but I want to do things a little differently this time lets try to devise our own approach to image captioning and compare it to the state of the art the goal of doing this kind of exercise is to get you thinking like an AI researcher so that you can come up with similar architectures for any problem and in the process understand that those researchers arent really super human so we have a problem of image captioning and we want to determine how to use neural networks to solve it and were doing this from scratch using our understanding of neural nets when you hear the term neural network what do you think perhaps an interconnection of neurons that takes raw data as input performed some hocus pocus in the middle and spits out some probability and classification proble

How to Name a Graph: Tips for Writing Great Chart Captions Summarize Your Data in Plain English. Left Justify Chart Captions Below Figure. Keep Chart Captions Simple and Short. Simplify Your Information. Include Units of Representation. Dont Forget Time Period!
Your title can refer to a shorter period than shown on the chart. You can highlight an important short-term trend and give broader context by using a longer timeframe in your chart and analysis.
When youve opened the Insert Caption dialog box, check the box to exclude label from caption. Enter the caption you want and click OK. Word will enter the caption as a text box with the picture (or figure, or table, etc.). Now you can simply edit the text in the text box and delete the number.
Written Instructions: Right-click the object you wish to caption and select Insert Caption from the shortcut menu. In the Caption dialog box, select the label that applies to the object you have selected (e.g. Figure or Table) and select the positioning of the caption (e.g. above or below the object).
Figure captions Figures should be labeled with a number followed by a descriptive caption or title. Captions should be concise but comprehensive. They should describe the data shown, draw attention to important features contained within the figure, and may sometimes also include interpretations of the data.
Click on Insert - Reference - Cross-reference. In the dialog box, select Figure as Reference type, then select Only label and number, pick Figure 1 , click Insert. Now, we have Figure inserted in the text. So, we have Figure 1 and 2 in the text.
Captions A figure caption is centered under the figure; a table caption is centered above the table (if a caption is more than one line, make it left justified). A Figure and its caption should appear on the same page. All captions should start with a capitalized word and end with a period.
The easiest way to eliminate the caption below a figure but simultaneously get a caption into the LoF is to give the optional argument with an empty mandatory argument to the \caption command. This would result in a stand-alone label like Figure 1: or similar.
