hello everyone my name is Anne Lamott on the author of Google Drive in Docs in 30 minutes today Im going to show you how to rename a spreadsheet in Google Drive very simple to do first go to drive.google.com and find the spreadsheet that you want to rename now in this case I have an untitled spreadsheet so it really needs a new name easy way to do it in Google Drive is to just select it then find this little button here that says more Actions click on that and select rename so I can call it anything that I want okay new sheet 2015 there we go its done now the other way that I could do this if I wanted to give it another name or it was untitled and I want to change the title is open it up in sheets lets take a minute to do and then at the top it will show the name of the sheet its gonna update the name in a second its still working ok so its called new sheet 2015 to click on it to rename it just click on it a little pop-up will come up and then Ill call it new sheet for Project X

When renaming a sheet in Excel, there are some naming rules you need to follow: A sheet name can be a maximum of 31 characters in length. You can not leave a sheet name blank. You can not have two sheets of the same name.
