Professor Dave here, lets classify some drugs. Whenever we are studying something that comes in so many varieties, we need some way of classifying them, just like the way we use taxonomy to classify living organisms. With drugs, it can be a little complicated, because there are different ways we might wish to categorize them. We might group them according to the type of molecule they are, or by what it does clinically, or by the mechanism of action. These methods all have their own utility, so lets talk a bit about them now, as well as a few related topics. The main distinction we want to make is the difference between therapeutic classification, and pharmacological classification. The first of these describes the purpose of the drug, or essentially the main physiological change that is induced by the drug on the organismal level. The second of these describes the mechanism of action, or what the drug does on the molecular level. Lets go through some examples of each. First, lookin

An ALIAS record is a type of DNS record that points your domain name to a hostname instead of an IP address. Important. To add and manage these records through Gandis interface and API, please note that your domain must be using Gandis LiveDNS nameservers.
There are three main kinds of DNS Servers primary servers, secondary servers, and caching servers.
For example, an A Record is used to point a logical domain name, such as google.com, to the IP address of Googles hosting server, 74.125. 224.147. These records point traffic from example.com (indicated by @) and ftp.example.com to the IP address 66.147. 224.236.
What is a DNS A record? The A stands for address and this is the most fundamental type of DNS record: it indicates the IP address of a given domain. For example, if you pull the DNS records of cloudflare.com, the A record currently returns an IP address of: 104.17. 210.9.
ANAME was born out of the combination of CNAME and another record type called A. So, ANAME is a CNAME and A record in one package. ANAME is not a read DNS record but a way of simulating it. And thats why it is called Alias name, or ANAME for short.
DNS stands for Domain Name System, and it is used to point an incoming website domain toward the IP address of the server. So, when you enter cloudwards.net, the DNS records fetch the IP address of our server and serve you the site. This allows you to change web hosts without changing domain names.
The Domain Name System (DNS) is the phonebook of the Internet. Humans access information online through domain names, like nytimes.com or espn.com. Web browsers interact through Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. DNS translates domain names to IP addresses so browsers can load Internet resources.
DNS or Domain Name System basically translates those domain names into IP addresses and points your device in the right direction. A domain name and its matching IP address is called a DNS record.
Understanding the differences The A record maps a name to one or more IP addresses when the IP are known and stable. The CNAME record maps a name to another name. It should only be used when there are no other records on that name.
Difference Between A and CNAME An A Record maps a hostname to one or more IP addresses, while the CNAME record maps a hostname to another hostname.
