OpenOffice uses the fonts that are installed in your system. Add new fonts using the Font management tools for your Operating System (for example in Microsoft Windows, you add new fonts via Start Settings Fonts).
Open the template or a document based on the template whose default settings you want to change. On the Format menu, click Document, and then click the Layout tab. Make any changes that you want, and then click Default.
You can set the default font and its size in Tools Options OpenOffice.org Writer Basic Fonts (Western). ALTERNATIVE METHOD: Choose Format Styles and Formatting, right click on Default and choose Modify Font.
Press F11 to open the Styles and Formatting window. On the Paragraph Styles page of the Styles and Formatting window, right-click on Default in the list and select Modify. Modifying a style.
If you installed the font using the button, it was likely just copied to ~/. fonts . To uninstall it, just open that directory, find the font, and delete the file.
OpenOffice.org by default saves documents in OpenDocument Format (ODF) version 1.2. While this allows for improved functionality, there may be backwards compatibility issues.
