Once you have clicked the sharing settings, click Advanced, and now you will see a list of everyone who has access to this document. And in order to remove a person from a file that you shared with them, you just need to click the X that is to the right of the persons name and the access privileges, and once you do that, and you click save changes at the bottom of that box, that person will no longer have access access to that file. How to Strikethrough on Google Docs Highlight the text you want to strikethrough. Click the Format section in the header. Hover over the Text button. Select the Strikethrough button.
If the above steps are hard for you to remember, you can use keyboard shortcuts to strikethrough in Google Docs instead: For Windows, once you have selected the text you want to cross out, press Alt+Shift+5. For Mac, press Command+Shift+X.
Stop sharing a file Find the file or folder in Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, or Google Slides. Open or select the file or folder. Find the person you want to stop sharing with. Remove access.
Thus while you can indeed remove a person from anthing you shared to them- such as files or folders you shared to that person, any data that they shared to you in a folder you gave them access to remains their data and you will lose access to it when you remove them from access to the folder.
No, unless they still have the document open in a tab. If it is open then they will get a notification that says that their permission settings have changed and it forces them to reload. If it is closed then they wont see it unless they go looking for that particular document and cant find it.
If you are a participant who can change shared files: deleting a file or folder from within a shared folder deletes it from everyones devices. Deleting a shared folder removes it from your devices, but does not remove it from the owners or other participants devices.
Many people have this question. Anything you can see in the Shared with me section is just a link to the real file on the owners account. Therefore, if you delete them from Shared with me in your Google Drive, you will be the only person who loses the link, but other shared objects will not be affected.
Find the file or folder in Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, or Google Slides. Open or select the file or folder. Find the person you want to stop sharing with. Remove access.
