Resolution Search for the relevant file or folder under Shared with me in Google Drive. Right-click on the file/folder and select Share. Find your name under People with access and click the permission level drop-down menu. Select Remove access and click Save. Click Yes if prompted to confirm your removal.
To cancel file ownership transfer in Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides: On your computer, open a file. At the upper right corner, click Share. Next to the recipients name, click the Down arrow. Cancel ownership transfer.
Identifying and Removing Metadata Right-click on the file. View its Properties. If there is metadata that you would like to remove, select the Details tab. Click Remove Properties and Personal Information.
