foreign hey good morning Dan calligan Meyer Galligan law um wanted to do a quick video on this FTC ruling that came out early in January now its the end of January uh where they are purporting to void all non-employee non-compete agreements Nationwide through this administrative Fiat from FPC um we get these Tempest and a teapot issues occasionally uh or quite occasionally I should say um I remember last year it was uh the IRS saying they were going to tax uh unrealized capital gains and then that through the market up into a tizzy and and I call it Tempest and a teapot because the issue just rattled around inside um and everybody talks about how terrible its going to be and that it doesnt go anywhere you never know could pass could fail let me tell you what this FTC ruling on knocking piece isnt to start with one is it does not affect non-competition agreements in the m a context meaning if you buy a uh if you buy a business you can subject the seller to a non-compete agreement th
