Hello again. Were still looking at logarhythms, and this time were looking at a very important rule, an idea of kind of like cancelling it out. Weve looked at that in previous modules. Cancelling to like, get a variable say, on its own. In this case, what we have is log to the base 4 of 4 to the 8. Well, the nice thing here is, what is a logarhythms? Well, its asking us to figure out what does the base have to be put to in order to get the term in say the brackets I just put in. so what does 4 have to be raised to, or put -- what power does it have to be put to become 4 to the 8? Well, if we think about it, thats kind of there in the answer. What does 4 have to be put through to get to be 4 to the power of 8? Well, 8. So this can merely be thought of as 8. And you think, if you have the base and the number here are the same, all thats left is the exponent. In fact, we can apply that power rule and rewrite this as 8 log 4 of 4. Well what does 4 need to be raised to, to get 1? O

You can suppress SAS statements, system messages, and error messages with the NOSOURCE, NONOTES, and ERRORS= SAS system options. You can specify these options when you invoke SAS, in the OPTIONS window, or in an OPTIONS statement. In this section, the options are specified in OPTIONS statements.
System options allow you to customize various parameters, defaults, and constants that are used throughout the system. Normally, these elements are set when RPM is installed by the system or database administrator. They tend to remain fixed unless a business practice is changed which necessitates a change in RPM.
Log output showing how notes are printed to the SAS log You can suppress the printing of notes by using the NONOTES system option.
The main differences are described below: Data Step Options: Work on both input and output variables. Controls how variables and observations get processed during input and output stages of the DATA Step. Data Step Statements: Work only on output variables.
SAS System options are parameters that you set that affect how SAS works, how SAS formats your output, how SAS uses memory, how SAS handles errors, and so on. All SAS System options have default settings that are used unless you specify otherwise. For example, page numbers are automatically displayed on your output.

Creates a Boolean variable that indicates whether the data set contributed data to the current observation.
Running any code or task node might generate an empty log, no output data, no result, and no error. This problem can occur when one or more project items is missing or corrupt.
