This MOU may be terminated at any time by either party by sending written notice of termination of the MOU to the other party. This MOU shall be reviewed at least every three (3) years by the Parties.
Either party may terminate this Agreement, without cause or penalty, by giving the other party sixty (60) days advance written notice of its intent to terminate this Agreement.
If you make it clear from the beginning that the document isnt binding, then you can avoid legal troubles if one of you has to back out. But things will be a little trickier if your MOU includes all the contents of a formal contract without any language to indicate it is not legally binding.
(c) Termination clause: Each Party shall have the right to terminate the Memorandum of Understanding by giving [three] [six] - months written notice in writing to the other Party at any time.
If either Party has failed to comply with the terms of this MOU, either Party may, upon thirty (30) days prior written notice to the other Party, terminate this MOU. The notice of termination shall state the reason(s) for the termination and the effective date.
The steps for terminating an MOU are relatively simple. The parties simply need to agree on the termination and notify the other party in writing. Once the termination is agreed upon, each party needs to provide written notification of the termination to the other party.
This Memorandum of Understanding is the complete agreement between and and may be amended only by written agreement signed by each of the parties involved. The MOU must be signed by all partners. Signatories must be officially authorized to sign on behalf of the agency and include title and agency name.
