Yes, non-refundable deposit fares are available to book on all ships. Should I choose to cancel a reservation confirmed under a non-refundable deposit fare, what refunds will apply? Outside of final payment, when a non-refundable deposit cancellation occurs, the full deposit amount will be held in penalty.
Cruise passengers do not get bumped as often as airline passengers do, and you arent likely to find out theres no room for you on the ship during the boarding process the way you might on a flight. But cruises can be oversold or canceled in advance for a variety of reasons.
You will get a full refund if you notify Royal Caribbean at least 75 days prior to your sailing date (60 days for 3 and 4-night cruises or 90 days for holiday sailings). Consult the chart below to determine cancellation charges applicable later.
59-30 days before departure: 50% of cruise or cruise tour price; 29-07 days before departure: 80% of cruise or cruise tour price; 6 days or less before departure: 100% of cruise or cruise tour price. Cancellation charges also apply to additional charges for upgrades, transfers and other pre-purchased services.
From 29 to15 days prior to sailing, the penalty is 75% of the total fare or the standard deposit amount, whichever is greater. From 14 days prior to sailing to the day of your cruise, the penalty is 100%* of the total fare.
New Cruise Refund Rules The new FMC rules include the following: Defining non-performance as a cruise canceling or delaying a voyage by three or more calendar days. In the event of a cruise operators non-performance, passengers are entitled to a refund of all money down, including ancillary fees.
While you can cancel your cruise at any time, your refund amount will depend on the length of your itinerary and how far in advance of your departure date that you cancel.
What can I do if my cruise itinerary changes? That depends. If you learn of the changes before the final payment due date, you can generally cancel and get a refund or reschedule. But once that day has passed, passengers are limited in their options because theyre under penalty, Pickett said.
