In this lesson, were going to write code to delete a node from binary search tree. In most data structures deletion is tricky. In case of binary search trees too, its not so straightforward. So lets first see what all complications we may have while trying to delete a node from binary search tree. I have drawn a binary search tree of integers here. As we know in a binary search tree for each node value of all nodes in its left subtree is lesser and value of all nodes right subtree is greater. For example, in this tree if Ill pick this node with value 5 then we have 3 and 1 in its left subtree which are lesser and we have 7 and 9 in its right subtree which are greater, and you can pick any other node in the tree and this property will be true else the tree is not a BST. Now when we need to delete a node, this property must be conserved. Lets try to delete some nodes from this example tree and see if we can rearrange these things and conserve the property of binary search tree or n

In your example, 00000001 means you have: (0 x 128) + (0 x 64) + (0 x 32) + (0 x 16) + (0 x 8) + (0 x 4) + (0 x 2) + (1 x 1) = 1.
The answer is 17. Its found using the standard conversion from binary to decimal. b) What decimal value does the 8-bit binary number 00010001 have if it is on a computer using signed-magnitude representation? The answer is 17.
Ive also been reading about converting fractions to binary and how to do it. I can do the math and find that representing 0.2 in binary is the following approximation: 0.00110011001100 However 2 in binary is 10.
In binary, the number 1/10 which is conveniently 0.1 in decimal isnt able to be represented as a number that can be represented in a fixed number of bits in binary.
Thus a dit or dot is represented as a 1 bit, while a dah or dash is represented as three consecutive 1 bits. Spaces between symbols, letters, and words are represented as one, three, or seven consecutive 0 bits. For example, NO U in Morse Code is .
Read answer 0.011 binary, which is 0.25+0.125=0.375 decimal.
0.1 in binary is 0.5 in decimal. Or 1/2 in base 10 fractions. Binary is just digits, it doesnt really do decimals without a known convention such as IEE floating point.
How do you represent 0.5 in binary? Multiply the 0.5 by 2 : 0.5 2 = 1.0 . Since the result is 1 , add 1 to the binary fraction: 0.1 . The remaining decimal part of the number is zero; thus, the representation is complete!
The 00000001 in binary is converted to 1 in decimal. The last octet, 00000000, is converted to 0.
Your answer is 7.
