A student's notice of cancellation must be received by the University in writing via email to the personal advisor. Notice of cancellation is effective if it shows that the student no longer wishes to be bound by the Enrollment Agreement or to continue his or her attendance at the University.
Each quarter, you may add and drop classes with no restrictions until the end of the second week of the quarter (the Unrestricted Drop period). After that, you may drop one class between the 3rd week and the last date of instruction for the quarter (the Late Course Drop period) using MyUW.

All requests to drop a course must be submitted in writing to Registration Services. Send your request by email at c2reg@uw.edu or by fax at 206-685-9359. You cannot drop a course by phone. Requests should include your name, student ID number and course name.
